God is holy and sin separates us from God:
It’s your sins that have cut you off from God. Because of your sins, he has turned away and will not listen anymore. (Isaiah 59:2 NLT)
When Adam sinned, sin entered the world. Adam’s sin brought death, so death spread to everyone, for everyone sinned. (Romans 5:12 NLT)
For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Yet God, with undeserved kindness, declares that we are righteous. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins. For God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed his life, shedding his blood. This sacrifice shows that God was being fair when he held back and did not punish those who sinned in times past, for he was looking ahead and including them in what he would do in this present time. God did this to demonstrate his righteousness, for he himself is fair and just, and he declares sinners to be right in his sight when they believe in Jesus. (Romans 3:23-26 NLT)
Results of sin is eternal separation from God:
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 6:23 NLT)
It is impossible for man to save himself:
Can we boast, then, that we have done anything to be accepted by God? No, because our acquittal is not based on obeying the law. It is based on faith. So we are made right with God through faith and not by obeying the law. After all, is God the God of the Jews only? Isn’t he also the God of the Gentiles? Of course he is. There is only one God, and he makes people right with himself only by faith, whether they are Jews or Gentiles. (Romans 3:27-30 NLT)
What has God done for me?
But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. (Romans 5:8 NLT)
The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent. (2 Peter 3:9 NLT)
For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16 NLT)
We cannot save ourselves:
For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. (Romans 10:3 KJV)
Can I be saved?
God sent His Son to be your Savior:
This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins. (1 John 4:10 NLT)
Forgiveness of sins and salvation can be yours today:
Christ suffered for our sins once for all time. He never sinned, but he died for sinners to bring you safely home to God. He suffered physical death, but he was raised to life in the Spirit. (1 Peter 3:18 NLT)
How can I be saved?
Agree with God that you are a lost sinner unable to save yourself:
But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. (Romans 5:8 NLT)
Believe that Jesus Christ died for your sins and ask Him to be your Savior:
But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. (John 1:12 NLT)
Confess the Lord Jesus Christ before men:
If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved. (Romans 10:9, 10 NLT)
Pray this prayer:
Lord Jesus, I realize I am a sinner in need of a Savior. I understand that the only way to be saved from my sin is by accepting Your sacrifice on the cross. I am confessing You at this moment as Lord of my life, I believe that God the Father raised You from the dead and I ask You to save me from my sin. I thank you Jesus for saving me. Amen
